EDUCATION ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACT (EEDA) COMPLIANCE
On May 27, 2005, Governor Mark Sanford signed the Education and Economic
Development Act (EEDA), new legislation designed to give South Carolina students the
educational tools they need to build prosperous, successful futures.
The EEDA Standards for Teacher Education Programs in SC require that teacher
candidates be proficient in the skills below.
To this end, the School of Education, Health, and Human Performance supports
these standards throughout candidate coursework in all its programs. Herein are resources
