Changing the Face of Teaching Scholarship
The Changing the Face of Teaching Scholarship was established in 2009 to assist a student enrolled in the M.A.T. program in early childhood, elementary, or special education and is designed to support a student who is a member of an under-represented ethnic group, with a strong preference given to a male student.

Colonial Dames Powder Magazine Scholarship
Awarded to a M.A.T. Elementary Education candidate participating in clinical practice. Special consideration will be given to students who work on projects sponsored by the National Society of Colonial Dames of America with the State of South Carolina.

David L. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships
The Institute of International Education is pleased to announce the opening of the 2009-10 academic year competition for NSEP David L. Boren Scholarships for undergraduate students and NSEP David L. Boren Fellowships for graduate students. Boren Awards provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. students to add important international and language components to their educations. Boren Scholarships provide up to $20,000 for an academic year’s study abroad. Boren Fellowships provide up to $30,000 for language study and international research.

Department of Health and Human Performance Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate physical education majors. Application forms are available from the office manager within the Department of Health and Human Performance located in the Silcox building.
Goizueta Fellows Scholarship
Awarded to two full time undergraduate or graduate teacher education candidates who are proficient in speaking Spanish, committed to becoming a teacher, have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and have demonstrated financial need by being approved for financial aid through the College's Financial Assistance Office. If you are a certified teacher, you are not eligible for this scholarship. The recipient must make a commitment to teach a minimum of one year for every year of receipt of the scholarship.

Goizueta Reach to Teach Scholarship
Awarded to part time undergraduate or M.A.T. teacher education candidates who are committed to becoming teachers and have demonstrated financial need by being approved for financial aid through the College's Financial Assistance Office. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of experience in some capacity in a school setting and have a minimum of 60 undergraduate hours.

Matthew Scott Ciganovic Memorial Scholarship
Awarded to a senior or M.A.T. teacher education candidate who demonstrates a commitment and ability to teach children with special learning challenges and different learning abilities, participates in volunteer activities working with children with special needs and has demonstrated financial need by being approved for financial aid through the College's Financial Assistance Office. This scholarship is for use during the recipient's clinical practice semester.

Dr. Nathan E. Miles Scholarship
Awarded to undergraduate or graduate students majoring in elementary or early childhood education who are committed to becoming teachers, have an overall GPA of 3.5 and have demonstrated financial need by being approved for financial aid through the College's Financial Assistance Office. Students must have completed their first elementary education or early childhood education course in their program before applying.
